So you had to go back seven years to find where a satelite bike won a race. One of the reasons Elias won that race is because he was given a discarded factory Michelin rear tire. Otherwise it would have business as usual. Movistar won races because they were recieving factory support from HRC during Sete and Melandri's time. Melandri was contracted through HRC to test frames, Sete received factory support for the title hunt. Factory support is what it taks to win a championship. Like riders, the factories have the money to pay the best techs, mechanics, crews etc. Dovi is your current proof that even with one of the best teams (HRC), it still takes talent to win.
