I think if the conditions had stayed dry throughout, then the usual suspects would have had time to perfect the set-up and got that final tiny bit out of their factory bikes that'd give them the edge, and Cal wouldn't be up there. But that's not to take anything away from Cal - the test conditions have proved enough of a leveller in machinery terms for Cal to be able to grab his chance to shine and stick #35 right on top. He's a step or 2 behind in kit now, so as has been said his chances to do this a round or 2 in are less likely. Its great he's taken his chance to put himself in front of everyone and show he's got genuine top-class ability and pace.
