The story is as old as capitalism! Someone (Helmund) comes up with a great idea, solicits expert input from close friend, world champion and industry icon (Schwantz) with enough clout in the industry to give the thing some teeth. Then the first guy takes on “financial partners” (McCombs and Epstein) who know nothing other than cash is king, who subsequently excise the first party. In doing so the two decide that they no longer need the services of the expert and excise him as well and then backdoor his deal with the guys that own the series, whom they desperately want in order to generate revenue and offset some of their substantial capital investment. They did this in Texas, where (I’m told) a man doesn’t just let things like this slide! Ol’ Red and Bobby may want to add some extra security or they might receive some good old Ted Nugent Style justice the hard way! Getting good now!
