You are confusing Schwantz with Wayne Rainey. "but I don't see how anything that Schwantz did on a bike makes him any more of a legend than, say....Stoner" Schwantz did it on an underpowered Suzuki, Stoner did it on what were at the time the most powerful bikes in the field - the Ducati and then the Honda. Put Doohan on that Suzuki and give Schwantz that Honda and the championship stats change instantly. If you can't see what made Schwantz so special as a rider no wonder you confuse him with Wayne Rainey. You are not observant.
