Motorsports is not about countries, it's about circuits. This circuit pays the fee we (Dorna) want to race there, this circuit is fitted in the calendar. If Spain had 9 top-quality circuits eager to host a MotoGP race, 9 races would be held in Spain alone. MotoGP has been to China and it was an economical disaster. How many other bike-safe circuits are there in Asia apart from Sepang? Istambul didn't last long, I guess that because of economical reasons again, because the circuit was magnificent. Brasil has just destroyed a valid circuit to get room for the Olympic games. Do you really think somebody over there cares about MotoGP racing? MotoGP is an European affair because tracks, promoters and fans are mostly there. Period. Even a depressed Europe is better business than most of the rest of the world (MotoGP wise).
