re: "Africa, the scene of Rossi's debut Yamaha victory in 2004, and Brazil both dropped off the MotoGP calendar at the end of that year." don't forget turkey and china in '08. personally, i really don't care if the series is 100% (to the letter) global or not. nor should anybody else. worrying about that is a COLLOSAL waste of energy. anybody who's been around long enough, KNOWS venues add on and drop off all the time. it is what it is. and history shows we've recently been to the areas mentioned above. so... logic should dictate... if these were in fact viable rounds of the world...? then WE WOULD STILL BE THERE...!!!
