Why Yamaha feels that motogp ought move out of europe? hint, it has nothing to do with the popularity of the sport but rather about sponsors/lack of big name sponsors like FIAT, Generali, to name a few who have pulled out of the sport as a result of europe financial crisis. Yamaha on the on other feel that motogp ought to concentrate its efforts not only rich in fans, but mainly rich in big ticket corporate sponsors. Its for this reason why Dorna have been trying to push the sport for growth in america and asia...the areas is awashed with many potential big name sponsor. The problem though, despite the sale of motorcycles MotoGP just dosen't have same clout as as say the NFL, NBA or college sports(NCAA football/basketball). And please, don't blame NASCAR for the lack of MotoGP acceptance in america especially since motorcycle/power sports such as supercross/AMA is pretty nitch.
