I tend to agree with Lorenzo that Spies has huge talent, but I also believe that a rider needs huge self confidence in order to capitalize on such talent. A season like Spies had last year could be enough to crush many folks self confidence. Most of his career he was regularly winning or at least on the podium. Between last year's nightmare and this year on a sub standard machine, can't see him getting results that will point him back to the mojo... Still don't understand that given a factory team how that bike broke as much as it did. Been watching bike racing since Kenny Roberts senior and Bob Hannah were untouchable and cannot recall a factory effort that was so off. I could easily see Spies wondering what going to break next... Anyway I hope it's Dani's year.
