At the start of every year people get umped up and declare the season will be epic with massive battles throughout. Thing is it never happens. There are only a few riders that can even run the pace at the front let alone consistently. When a pass happens its because someone doesn't have the tires at the end, has a mechanical or physical problem and there is no real chance of fighting back. The winners will have nailed the setup and cleared away, the best of the rest will still be around 30s back and a few will crash trying to up their pace and find their way to the front. Business as usual is what I expect I just hope the season won't be decided by the middle of the season.
