There's still more practice & qualifying to go, so besting Casey's record is still possible. Another thing to consider is the fact that there is one less engine available, so tuning things down a bit for longevity will cause a slight decrease in performance. Different tire specs & weather should be considered as well. This is the first year they've run MotoGP first on the second day of practice too, so the track will be rather green, or should I say brown from the sand/dust accumulated overnight. Different year, different conditions/circumstances=different expectations. Ooops! Meant to post this in the Yamaha article.
