@ Don-R Interesting thought and observation about the map switch and fuel situation! Hindsight is great etc. and I'm only wondering but..... given that Cal was being held up in the corners by the HRC's, might it not have been a better strategy to have run the fuel save strategy earlier on and use his cornering to keep DP & MM in sight, and then switch to the full map for a last couple of laps assault when the HRC's tyre wear left them (well Dani anyway) more vulnerable? As for Rossi - well if he DID take that gamble well it certainly paid off! It was a close run thing & it could have gone the other way! Interesting stuff.
