I think Cal HAS answered that one (although of course that's HIS opinion, and so lots of floks won't accept it. of course, CC's opinion might not actually be right either...). CC stated before the start that he'd struggle if he got stuck behind the Honda's as he needed to run higher corner speeds than then to do the lap time, while they used their jump out of corners to best advantage (much as we've discussed). CC's need to run higher mid-corner speeds to lap quick is not new (McWilliams poled the Aprilia Twin at PI but always said in the race he'd be stuffed as he'd get beat to the first corner then be stuck behind thereafter, & he was). Whether this is just a trait of the Yam, T3 or that CC needs to change style/set-up (or both) I can't answer. We'll have to see what happens in coming races!
