Just thought.... the fact that VR & CC's bikes posted consistently very similar times should rule out any difference in gearing (final drive ratio at least). I believe all the Yam pilots (inc T3) get to see the data of the others - so one should expect the intermediate ratios to be pretty identical too. IF the bikes are as close as you claim (though this isn't what CC claims) then all that's be left is either Rossi being able to get the bike off the last corner MUCH faster than CC, or that VR had some extra shunt at his disposal (or perhaps some of both). VR's better fuel strategy by his team (than CC's T3) increases the odds that Rossi DID have a power/acceleration edge. Nothing concrete - but reasonable speculation, yes?
