@ Realist Spalding article was about Qatar, and why there was a performance differential between the factory & T3 bikes. So that has to mean that whatever Yam have done, it was in there for Qatar. NS went on to say that what Yam have has not added a 1/10, but 'significantly more than a tenth' to the lap. He doesn't qualify further (prob cos he can't know 100%) but that statement would suggest maybe 0.5s a lap, which is a LOT at this level. NS stated that this contributed to VR's ability to match the Honda's out of the final turn, so he could then slipstream and make a pass, where CC's bike could not put him in contention. For sure VR did great and his riding puts him there too. This just confirms his bike helps him more than it helps CC.
