I just have this to say... ...before Qatar, everybody said Rossi would be lucky to get 5th-6th. Qualifies 7th, and the vitriol continued. He makes a miraculous run to 2nd killing everything in his path (because the bike was running optimally), and the haters had nothing to say for a couple days. When they emerged, the tune had changed to "We expected a podium. 2nd place wasn't a big deal." Yeah, sure! ...Now in Austin, Rossi knew that this was going to be a damage control race, qualified 8th and finished 6th on a problematic bike. Rossi still likely wouldn't have been on the rostrum at COTA, but ya never know. Now the haters are back, and it's the same stuff ad nauseum. Do you guys ever give it a rest?
