Rossi lost 7secs getting past Alvero. When Cal went off track he came back on immediately in front of Rossi, who might even have slowed to let him. At that point they were both 8secs back from the leader. Cal then put 10secs on Rossi and whether that was brilliant riding on his part, or a brake problem for Rossi depends on your perception. In my view a little of both.
Whatever happened Rossi and his team had a poor weekend.
