Well, the humiliation part depends on the person's immediate reaction. Yes, Lorenzo did refuse Marquez's hand, but overall I'm very much impressed with the way Lorenzo conducted himself. He was quite composed, offered a controlled finger wag to Marquez's friendly gestures, and did no trash talk in the post race interview. He could have made it so much hard for himself by throwing a tantrum and emitting a few hot words - that alone would have made the whole incident into yet another legend. I can certainly name one or two people who came off worse in more or less regular racing incidents, yet chose to elevate the scenarios into motogp legend stories simply by hot headed actions and words in the hours afterwards.
