@k9sams while it's true that Hayden only renewed for 1 year it's also true that that is the only factory seat outside Suzuki available for next year. As such you can bet that there will be plenty of competition for that seat even if Ducati are no more competitive at the end of this year than they are now. Cal has put himself in a position where he is going to have to fight for a competitive ride for next year. He could have signed to Tech3 for two years had he wanted to, but clearly he thought he was being clever by only signing for one. Or maybe he took poor advice from his agent/manager.
