@Codger This wasn't all about the bikes. This was largely down to riding. Pedrosa rode bravely and quickly. He made mistakes, but he was also riding the razer's edge. Jorge had a problem of some kind. Everyone else rode to their limits, and eventually, to their tyres' limits. Rossi did a great job to get to a position to challenge, but succumbed to pressure. It wasn't the bikes. He did a great salvage job after that.
The only Yamaha rider good enough to challenge Pedrosa at every race is Lorenzo. Rossi will only do it sometimes. Get used to it, or enjoy the pain.
