A good strong ride from Nicky in difficult conditions. Without the Rossi incident then the form suggests that once again the 2 Ducati's would have been formation flying in line astern at the flag.
Not at all sure that Hayden would have beaten Marquez and Dovi to get on the last step of the podium, but he'd have been a lot closer for sure and in with a shout.
I reckon Ducati have every reason to be very satisfied with the efforts of both their Factory riders at Le Mans. Pirro as well come to that - I'm not sure, but is Pirro's 8th the best finish of 2013 by a Pramac bike? Even if it isn't its a good ride by a stand-in. lets hope this is the beginning of some genuine progress for Ducati - the series needs as many competitive bikes as it can get.
