That is a more appropriate view for the data you presented, look at the streaks. 1978 - 1980, every other year from 84 to 88, a streak in 90, in 2004, 2008 (3 championships), and a win in 2012.
Most of their wins came post Rossi (Dorna's favored champion) 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, & 2012 (deny Casey Stoner). If it were not for Rossi Yamaha would not have ad all those championships, but not for the reasons you probably want to believe.
I think you have been watching tv too much. They do that kind of stuff on the tube to confuse the masses too much. If you did any kind of statistical work on that data you couldnt prove anything you are trying to posit. The data lends itself more towards streaks rather than winning evens vs odds.
