If we accept that the Honda was/is slightly more powerful but the Yamaha was/is usually better handling then as soon as Honda gets the handling sorted it will consistently beat the Yamaha if they have the riders to deliver. I suspect that this what we are seeing this year. Honda won more races last year but not the championship because those wins were split between two riders which was very lucky for Jorge. Once Honda got on top of the chatter problem it was inevitable. Dorna tried to stop them by forcing them to use the soft-walled front tyre and that is possibly the only reason Jorge was able to win the championship.
