I personally feel Lorenzo doesn't qualify to be the lead rider to give major inputs or feedbacks for bike development. Because ever since he took charge as the #1 rider, yamaha was always going backwards... Lorenzo is a great talent and he is amongst the best riders now but that is just not enough to be qualified as the lead rider... Because........ JL in earlier years with less experience and riding on bike that suits Rossi more had a good performance stats. But after becoming #1 rider where bike is made to suit him more and with more experience, his performance stats should have improved, but it went a little backwards, remember JL crashed more during his earlier seasons than when he is #1 rider,, but his start win ratio, number of podiums, poles, race fastest laps have all went down since start of 2011. Only thing that improved was number if 2nd places...
