Back in the godd old days before TC, the factory that developed the most useable engine usually won the races.
The sensors are already on the bikes, TC is merely the right lines of code in the ECU vs hundreds of hours of dyno and track time trying to make an engine that "feels" right. Without electronic TC and if given the appropriate mechanical freedom we'd be seeing heads, cams and exhausts being changed between sessions rather than a nerd with a laptop changing some PID values..
