You forget how sought after the factory/sattelite seats are, fair enough they may have a few dodgy decisions like Smith etc but the rest of the field are big name, big sponsor riders who would take a huge shove to leave the teams they are in. Out of the current crop of prototypes I can only think of Spies and Smith who are massively under performing so with the limited number of seats on the grid and the current contracts in place getting a factory seat is easier said than done.
But Suzuki could be a good bet with De Puniet, Crutchlow and rumour of an Italian rider all fighting for it that could be a no go as well.
