I'm not sure this is right buddy. In 2011, on the chatterless Honda, Stoner would regularly appear to have more tyre than Dani in the latter third of the race. Just like MM, this is probably down to two things imo. Firstly, Stoner could handle the worn tyre better than Dani, and I think that is the same for MM (this must be true if, as you say, MM is being harder than Dani on tyres during the course of a race but ends up being faster than Dani in the latter stages). Secondly, and this is far more arguable, the difference in their riding styles and approach led Stoner to actually have more tyre than Dani in the latter stages. For most of 2011, there's no doubt that Stoner could do Dani's pace more easily than Dani could do Dani's pace. In 2013, for the most part, I think the same could be said of Marquez.
