no mean feat. take away the engine and we're effectively back to searching the channel guide for "tour de france" and "giro d'italia". if ross had chose any other engine, the crossplane could've easily ended up spending the last 10 years collecting dust while sharing shelf space in back storage along with those 5 other engines.
instead, it's gone on to be one of the greatest contributions to motorcycling since the mass marketed CB750. rest assured Honda feels a lil' raw about this.
