I can see where you are coming from re costs but when honda say its a new frame and engine to do the tooling for that would be a huge cost but that is not totally right ,90% of that tooling would be just modified from the current bike which to a Co like honda is peanuts,thats why they can produce "New" bikes so quickly, and I can tell you from experience (not in bikes) that Ducati in 2011/12 with bike updates plus building a complete new bike at the end of 2011 would have spent at least 5 times more money than honda in them 2 yrs
