At least there is an official commitment to return. A bit vague and wishy-washy in the details, but I had my doubts that they would come back at all. If I was CEO then looking at the full situation in MotoGP then I wouldn't have made a return - the odds are so stacked against them that it has all the hallmarks of a very expensive hiding and a public humiliation.
I'm not bashing Suzuki btw. But Honda especially have got all the Aces (Data, Politics, Budget, R&D, Budget, more Data and even more Budget as well as even more political clout in MotoGP). ANY other manufacturer would (and indeed does) find it super-hard to succeed under the conditions that exist in MotoGP.
Very brave or very foolish for them to come back IMO.
