Rossi has needed two seasons to shine many times his career. First season learn and adjust the bike, second season win the championship. Coming back to a 'different' M1 after the two bad years at Ducati is bound to require some re-adjustment both to the bike and in his confidence. I believe that part of the reason there are 4 or 5 'aliens' now is that the bikes are much easier to ride and therefore the rider makes less difference. Not saying they are not extremely talented, just that not all of them are 'GOAT's (Colin Edwards). Let's not forget that Vale won World Championships on the 'untameable' RC and the 'hasn't won anything in five years' M1. IMO watch for some wins later this season and a good showing in 2014.
