The control tire has absolutely zilch to due with why Ducati is so poor. This is just a cheap excuse that is used by Ducati to deflect the blame away from why they are incapable of taken on Honda/Yamaha on equal terms. Look at Honda and Yamaha. No one who evens knows a bit about Motogp will tell you that both the these bikes have similar characteristics. The way both bikes achieve fast lap-times are fundamentally different from eachother, with vastly different riding techniques needed to make the bikes go fast. Yet race after race the overall performance of both bikes is extremely close. At some tracks Honda have the edge, at some tracks Yamaha do........
