Fair play to Jorge for riding whilst injured. There are two important points I'll make, though.
1) the collarbone is a natural crumple zone. It gives way, protecting your spine. Put a plate in there, and where would an impact loading travel to? Very poor decision to race a motorbike in that condition.
2) if jl can make fifth with such lack of movement, what does that say for this class of racing? If you're on such and such a bike, you'll still finish top six regardless. Not on one of those bikes? You'll still not beat a factory bike! Put it this way - if you had such a physical reduction, where would even jl finish in Moto2 and Moto3? Not even top 10.
I'm not taking away from jl, but its a damning verdict for the premier class.
