Lets face facts. Given just how potent a modern road sportsbike is, let alone a MotoGP, a CRT or a WSBK.... To have FAST, exotic racing motorcycles that require hairy-ar$ed, brave, fit and committed young men to ride them anything like to their potential - do we need... Pneumatic Valves? Carbon Brake Discs? Electronics that set machines up perfectly for every inch of track and every corner? An army of data-crunching geeks writing code and algorithms? The answer is simple. NO. As RS Mick implies. Lease bikes and engines etc. puts ALL the control of the competitiveness of the vast majority of the field into the hands of the main competition - the factories! Genius IQ is not needed to see the lunacy and scope for 'control' that places in the hands of Honda & Yamaha.
