Looked at sensibly and straightforwardly... there can be only ONE reason why the rules aren't changed in the simplest possible way to reduce costs and improve the Racing, but instead are convoluted, contradictory and over-complicated... Because it suits somebody's AGENDA! The rules don't suit non-factory resources so that's most teams. It doesn't suit riders, who want to be able to beat their peers fair and square and prove they deserve their title. It won't suit most sponsors. It won't suit teams wanting to join. It only suits Honda & Yamaha it seems.
