@ RSMick "Stick all the riders on the same bike with no electronics, do you think the result will be different?"
It could be. For all we know, Alex Espagaro MIGHT be the fastest rider in MotoGP right now. He's riding that ART well enough to suggest he'd be pretty good.
Or, with the rider making the difference then (seeing as ALL these riders are in a premier international race series, and therefore 'a bit good') others may come to the fore.
What we DO know is that right now only 4 riders have the team/bike machinery opportunity in the field to compete for the WC. Even if the same guys were winning - it would be good to know that a lot more than 4 had a genuine opportunity to compete.
Ask anyone outside HRC/Yam factory team personnel if they'd prefer to have a genuine level playing field and chance to TRY to get the odd great result - you think they'd say 'nah - I prefer it like it is now'? Of course not.
