Even with all of the rider aids and electronics, riders are still capable of making forced and unforced errors. The reason why the front runners clear off is because they make fewer mistakes than the rest.
Even in your delusional glory filled 2 stroke days, riders were running away with it at the front. It takes just as much balls to ride the modern four stroke as it does the 2 smoke. How many broken collar bones have we seen in the last few years? How many deaths?
You have one of two choices. The pinnacle of the sport that combines both man and machine at the highest level, or you can go away and watch the Honda 500 cup.
Nothing in motorsports is ever level unless you are running a spec series, and even then there are small differences in machine.
