re: "I'm developing the opinion that Cal's Tech 3 machine is actually a better bike than the number 2 factory Yam." and there it is. the epiphany as to why you don't hear ross complaining about any issues with his kit. he of all people knows Yamaha has a "Rule of 2" team structure. the operation only works when there are clear designations as to who's the Master, and who's the Apprentice. ask Scuderia how this works. look at kawi/sykes in WSB. tom leading the points has as much to do with his own talents, as it does with baz not threatening internally, and team aprilia allowing an inter-team rivalry. when guinters and norge clash, all's they end up doing is taking points OFF EACH OTHER. meanwhile, grinner's WTFO pulling "horizon jobs" on his way to 2013 WORL' CHAMPEEN...!!! J. Green's doing time here in the states and Scott's already got his plane ticket over to Europe.
