@Nate44 Probably because there will be a new weight limit increase or a capacity revision so the old machines wont be allowed within the proposed rules. However if Dorna had of stuck with the 990's and didn't change the rules so much Honda and Yam would probably be happy to lease some old bikes to some privateers. But with the changing rules its probably hasn't crossed there minds recently. @Balance Don't forget that there is no real advantage in the extra engines, fuel, and spec ecu when leasing from Yamaha as they will ensure that you won't match there factory bikes performance what so ever or other manudacturers for that matter as the factory will always have the edge. At the moment these rules are just a compromise between what Dorna and the factories want which are two very seperate things.
