thats why you run OEM ECU's (where competitors can open them up and inspect them on their own time) standardized wiring harnesses (limit sensor integration) and dont allow single manufacturers to have too much hold over particular technical aspects of a class.
Electronics have come a long way, but forcing people to work with consumer electronics means it can limit the feasibility of having to manufacturer so many high end ecu's. & then though, making the ECU public allows for scrutiny.
I personally believe tires in MotoGP should be 'opened' up and more than one manufacturer should be building in order to maintain quality control.
