Matt2, exactly what they are doing. However because they have the architecture of the Spec ECU they are working on using the 2d code on that. Remember its not so much about the ECU the operting code sees to that, the functional code is what counts. The major difference will be the limitation of I/O. Think of it like playing the same game on XBox, PS and Wii, the games are the same, or something like XBMC working on multiple platforms the limitation is in the hardware. But the Marelli system according to Tom Jojic along with its software is really good
