FYI PCXMAC or Mr Conspiracy, Marquez's team did nothing to the ECU, what they didn't do was use the embedded quickshift statergies of the control ECU and used a quickshifter with its own method of cutting the fuel, not illegal as the quick shifter was free was not part of the control rules, it is now. The whole point of the control ECU is to get them mass produced and cheaper and to restrict the manufacturers to the same limits as the privateer. One important factor as well is the scan times, ask the processor to do too much and you will slow the scan times down, yes you can use interupts, but an increased scan time of 10ms can probably mean the difference between an algorithm reacting in time or not.
