Dorna HAVE been trying to 'encourage' more Factory involvement. But no-one wants in. Why is this?
Simple IMO. All other Mfrs look at the fact that its a closed shop really, and if they join then they'll have to risk public humiliation and trouncing by HRC & Yamaha while they try to fight with very limiting testing restrictions to work out solutions within VERY tight technical rules - answers that HRC & Yam already HAVE.
And all that is before you even contemplate the cost getting this very public hammering is going to cost a Mfr.
If YOU were a CEO of a m/c mfr - would you consider it a good business decision to join MotoGP under these conditions? Nope, me neither. The fact that Suzuki is seriously considering a comeback is amazing IMO.
