Of course there are team orders and they are quote "Don't take your team mate out!!" But that is the end of them.
The Honda is just the opposite of the Yamaha, when the tires go away they are much harder to ride.
I was hoping for DP to continue his charge to the front. But it is one thing pulling a couple seconds out of the guys in front with a clear track, but it is something else to pass these guys, especially JL and MM. If anyone had ridden a race bike with cooked tires, they know it is like riding on grease. It is almost impossible to control the wheel spin, It leave you no feeling. Discretion is the better part of valor. And DP chose to not toss it.. He is close to 1 DNF and a mistake from the WC.
