The old 500's were also "only" 130kg, the new ones are 160kg, so the rider weight to bike weight ratio is worse suggesting that heavier bike can transfer more energy to the rider during a highside.
F1 has four wheel so they can't fall over but they still manage to have crashes, so it's clear that accidents will always happen in motorsport (more bike stability won't change that), they just need to look at improving the level of safety for the ejected rider. Ben Spies (and Cal at his home race a year ago) proved that even a low speed brain f@rt can get you hurt...
