BT paid 8m, hardly a major deal, they paid 758m for some premiership games and 120m for the Aviva Premiership. The BBC couldn't pay more, like the football. Motogp.com stream cost me 85 for the year, I bought 4 roving tickets for GP and took food and drinks in, still bought more as Im greedy. Look at the prices for 3 days at Silverstone and compare it with 90 mins of a football match its very reasonable. As for Estoril the entry was 1 euro, only because they were bound by contract to put the race on so they thought get some in rather than none as they couldn't afford to promote it. As for the spectacle the whole day was one of the best I have seen. So if Dorna charged less which they are not extortionate more would come? How come that did not work when IMS (FGS) were giving rounds for free and still the rounds were empty, SIlverstone and Donny example. Your logic does not make sense, if the circuits don't make money then how come more want to play host?
