He won 1 more GP than Wayne, but he also rode a few races more. He also rode in 1994 for 2 wins.
Doohan was flogging Rainey and Schwantz in 1992 but then had that real bad crash that grounded him for the rest of the season. (except for the last 2 races but clearly not recovered) So I'm unsure if Wayne's absence would have made a difference, but we'll never know.. He may not have won 5 or any, or he may still have taken 5. If not for 1992 he may have had 6.
But if you're calling Schwantz a Legend, and he is. Then why would you not think Stoners 30 odd premier wins and 2 titles (All more than Schwantz) should discredit him from the same prestige?
