What an interesting thread this is. Which I think brings us back to stats, something Rossi fans love to bring up,
Stats don't lie, however if one knows the story behind the stats they could bring a totally different story, eg would Wayne Rainey have won three WCs if MDs doctor hadn't made such a mess of his leg, Mick was lucky he didn't loose it, a brake nowhere near as bad as Barry Sheen's who was back at the pointy end within a matter of weeks. Mick lost that championship by just a few points. Mick did not get back to his winning ways until nearly the end of the following year and then went on to win five WCs and yes he was a cripple.
