Friday practice times - Assen MotoGP

Full Friday free practice times from the Dutch MotoGP, round six of the 2010 world championship.

Marco Melandri ran straight on at the new, ultra-fast, Ruskenhoek turn after 12 minutes and suffered a big highside when he rejoined the track.

The Italian walked away holding his left arm and is being treated for a 'suspected shoulder dislocation'. He is 'doubtful' for qualifying.

Ducati's Nicky Hayden fell in the final minutes, but was unhurt.

Hiroshi Aoyama, injured last Sunday at Silverstone, has been replaced at Interwetten Honda by HRC test rider Kosuke Akiyoshi.

The other week when Spies seemed to be struggling a little bit (lets not forget this is his learning year)he was blasted as being 'overrated' now he when finally gets to race on a circuits that he either knows,or are new to everyone he starts getting the job done. Now some clowns on here reckon he is suddenly on a disguised factory bike !.He is by far the best rookie the sport has seen since Lorenzo IMO (who did have a factory bike and did know all the circuits).I watched him closely at Silverstone and have to say I was impressed,he's very good.
