so suppose the conspiracy is real: Colin's speed is partially due to Yamaha giving Tech3 newer parts in response to Rossi's defection. Makes me wonder if Colin & Rossi even rode the same bike when they were teammates years ago. Back then I naively thought the factory riders rode the same bikes. But looking back at Rossi's paddock behavior over the years, I'm not so sure about that any more. The first year that Yamaha beat Honda, J Burgess said that Honda's mistake was giving the same bike to all 5 of their riders, hoping one of them would shine. The key he said, was to concentrate on one good rider. Should Colin have wondered then if he was getting shafted? After all, VR specifically requested Colin be his teammate, so he could use his Michelin data.

When Spies is faster than Rossi, it's an evil Yamaha/Japanese conspiracy to give Ben a factory bike and make Rossi look bad. But when Edwards is faster, folks say he's riding to keep a job... ...EVERY satellite rider out there is riding to keep his job. Did Rossi suck today because he already has a job? Racing is racing. Some days you have the perfect setup, some days you don't. and if Yamaha is giving Spies more new parts, I bet Colin is getting them too.
