Any one who thinks these times have little meaning are wrong. The whole idea is to go around the track as fast as possible. They do this and the time it takes to complete a circuit measured. They are there to try to have the smallest consistent measurement of time per lap. They spend millions and millions of dollars so these times have millions and millions of meanings. Rossi should not be 12th. He is paid to be higher than that. De Puiet is 10th and he is paid 15 cents. Rossi is 12th and he is paid a small African countries GDP.
